Sydney Chamber Opera present an Australian premiere season of ‘Awakening Shadow’ at Carriageworks from 30 Sep – 7 Oct, 2022.

Backed by a stellar creative team, this impressive production features Benjamin Britten’s five Canticles entwined with a new work in response by leading Australian composer Luke Styles. One of the 20th century’s most personal works, the Canticles are a seminal portrait of Britten’s musical voice, written throughout his life for partner and muse Peter Pears.
