Artist Mark Shorter performs Song for von Guérard for The National 2019. The audience is drawn into a pitch-black gallery space haunted by the non-verbal time travelling landscape painting critic, Schleimgurgeln. Periodically, the darkness will be broken illuminating the figure of Schleimgurgeln and his dark chamber.
