Hamlet Camp

A World Premiere Play.

★★★★1/2 “Hamlet Camp is January’s highlight” – The Sydney Morning Herald
★★★★ “surprising, illuminating, funny, and profound” – Stage Noise
★★★★ “Theatrical chemistry that proves irresistibly amusing” – Suzy Goes See

Brendan Cowell, Ewen Leslie, and Toby Schmitz – three stars of Australian stage and screen – come together for the first time for the world premiere of Hamlet Camp, a night of poetry, pith and play.

The actors have been mates for years, but they are also bound together as members of a select club of former Princes. Each of them has scaled the Shakespearean summit to go head-to-skull with poor Yorick in the most coveted acting role in the business. This is the kicking off point for an evening of laughs, tears and bewilderment as they consider an actor’s life of friendship, passion, cruelty, glory and chaos.
