Pre-Sale Frequently Asked Questions
PRE-SALE ACCESS
When does the Pre-Sale start, and how do I sign up?
The Pre-Sale for events at Carriageworks will begin at a specified time and date. Please check the event or artist page for details.
Pre-Sale tickets will be available to purchase online only. Due to the high demand for events, this is the fairest way to manage the queue.
To gain Pre-Sale access to an event at Carriageworks, you need to create or update your Carriageworks account and select the event or artist name as an interest before the specified deadline.
All Carriageworks account holders who have registered the event or artist name as an interest will receive an email before the Pre-Sale starts with a direct link to join the ticket booking queue.
Click here or visit http://my.carriageworks.com.au/account/interests to create or update your Carriageworks account. Make sure to opt in to receive emails from Carriageworks to receive the latest updates about the Pre-Sale.

I’ve updated my interests, now what?

You will receive an email with your Pre-Sale link at the specified time on the event or artist page (please allow up to 10 minutes for delivery). If you do not receive the email, please contact Carriageworks via boxoffice@carriageworks.com.au.
Click on the link in the email to join the queue.
How much are the tickets?
Ticket prices are detailed on the event or artist webpage. A $5 booking fee applies to all transactions.
How many tickets can I buy?
There may be a limit on the number of tickets you can purchase per transaction on popular events. If you wish to buy additional tickets, you may need to re-join the queue after completing your transaction.
Please note that all tickets are General Admission, with no assigned sections or seats, unless specified.
What happens if the Pre-Sale sells out?
All tickets will be available to purchase during the Pre-Sale. If the event sells out during the Pre-Sale, we will not hold a General Sale.
If tickets remain available after the Pre-Sale, the General Sale will commence as stated on the event or artist page.

QUEUING PROCESS
Queue-it – What’s up with this ticketing queue?
The Queue-it system is a virtual waiting room that provides fairer and controlled access to the ticketing site. It’s in place to help manage the very high, rush-hour traffic flow of patrons looking to purchase tickets. You may have seen queue-it used by other online ticketing providers or peak-period holiday booking sites.
How does the queuing system work?
- Before Pre-Sale
If you click through from your Pre-Sale email, you may land on a holding webpage. You can remain on this page or return at the start of the Pre-Sale.
- Commencement of Pre-Sale
Regardless of what time you land on the holding webpage, you will be assigned a random place in line, along with everyone else who also arrives before the Pre-Sale begins.
- After Pre-Sale has commenced
If you join the Pre-Sale queue after it has started, you will be placed at the end of the line. From that point on, everyone is added to the queue in the order they join.
You will be able to track your place in the queue and your waiting time before getting to the webpage to buy tickets.
Do I have to keep my webpage open in order to stay in the queue?
Once you have your place in the queue, you have two options:
- You can leave the webpage open and wait. If you do this, do not click refresh. Once it’s your turn, the ticketing page will automatically display, and you will have 15 minutes to complete your transaction; or
- You can pop your email into Queue-It to receive a link via email notifying you when you’re at the front of the queue. Keep in mind: e-mails may be moved to your spam folder or delayed. It’s best to check in on your queue status. Once it’s your turn, you will have 10 minutes from receiving the email to rejoin Queue-it using the link emailed to you, and then 15 minutes to complete your transaction. Make sure to check your spam for the email from Queue-It.
What if I miss the 10-minute window to rejoin the queue or don’t complete my transaction within 15 minutes?
If you miss your window of time to rejoin the queue or don’t complete your transaction within 15 minutes you will need to join the queue again, at which time you will be placed at the back of the queue.
How long will the queue be?
Providing an exact estimate of the wait time isn’t possible, as it will depend on how many people want to buy tickets at that particular time, and how long those in front of you in the queue take to complete their transaction and free up a place on the site.
Queue-it will show live updates on your place in the queue and your estimated wait time.
Will the queue be in place for the General Sale?
Yes, the same queuing system will be used for the General Sale if there are any tickets left after the Pre-Sale. All tickets will be available to purchase during the Pre-Sale. If the event sells out during the Pre-Sale, we will not hold a General Sale.

IF THE EVENT SELLS OUT
I missed out on tickets; how can I get my hands on some?
If the event sells out, we recommend joining the waitlist, which you can find on the event or artist page.
Alternatively, for a safe and secure way to find tickets to sold-out shows, Carriageworks has partnered with the official resale platform Tixel. We recommend only purchasing tickets from resellers through Tixel.
TICKET RESALE/REFUNDS
I no longer want my tickets, can I get a refund?
Under our ticketing Terms & Conditions (see here), all sales are final at the time of purchase, and we do not offer refunds.
Carriageworks has partnered with Tixel, an official resale platform, to offer a safe and secure way to resell and find tickets to sold-out shows. If you would like to resell your ticket via Tixel, please email boxoffice@carriageworks.com.au and we will provide instructions on how to do so.
Can I give my ticket to someone else?
If anyone you know would like to attend the show in your place, they are welcome to use your ticket. Please note if you opt for this, the tickets will remain under your name and if any issues occur, we will be limited in our capacity to assist the new ticketholders.
