The Urban Beehive started in 2010 with the aim of supporting honeybees that do their critically important work in urban Sydney. Beehives are placed in city backyards, businesses, community gardens and on rooftops enjoying some great views resulting in happy and health hives.

Carriageworks is home to four rescued beehives that The Urban Beehive manage. The sweet honey is harvested, packaged, and sold at the market as ‘Sweet Arts Honey.’
