Salote Tawale: I remember you Artist Interview

I remember you by Australian–Fijian artist Salote Tawale examines the formation of identity through memory. Drawing from the artist’s own recollections, this ambitious exhibition is presented across two spaces at Carriageworks. Moored in the Public Space, is an almost 14-metre-long bamboo raft, while in Bay 21, paintings, sculpture and karaoke are bought together in an installation that is conceived as a ‘memory bank’. I remember you delves into the subjective nature of personal experience and its connection to the collective.
