The public program for The National 4: Australian Art Now draws on through-lines of collaboration, knowledge-sharing and storytelling across institutions. Bring your stories, hear from others and weave your responses into conversations that build new understandings and connections to place and time. The public program recognises that culture and meaning is co-created, in relationship with, and of, many voices.

The National is presented by Carriageworks, Art Gallery of NSW, Museum of Contemporary Art and Campbelltown Arts Centre.

Supported by Strategic Sponsor Destination NSW, Government Partners NSW Government, Australia Council for the Arts, Australian Government Visual Arts and Craft Strategy NSW, Campbelltown Council, and Major Partner Bloomberg.

PERFORMANCE: FM Air by Jo Lloyd

FM Air (2023) is a new dance by Jo Lloyd, performed three times during The National 4. It appears and disappears – like a scent. Presented in Carriageworks’ Public Space, the three performers move in a continuous bind, oscillating in a transparent fabric bag.
