Carriageworks presents a live program of performances and talks for The National 2019. For the opening Saturday, artists Melanie Jame Wolf and Luke Roberts will feature in a day of free events. Mark Shorter will perform weekly from the opening Sunday and Eugenia Raskopoulos will lead a panel discussion in April.

Popealice/Pythia/Oracle: Luke Roberts  Performance marking the 40th anniversary of Luke Roberts’ most enduring ‘performance guide’, Her Divine Holiness Pope Alice. Sat 30 Mar 12pm.
Song for von Guérard: Mark Shorter  Enter a pitch-black gallery space haunted by the non-verbal time travelling landscape painting critic, Schleimgurgeln. Sun 31 Mar 12-6pm and weekly during the exhibition from Sat 6 Apr 12-6pm.
Eugenia Raskopoulos: Book Launch 

Featuring a panel discussion on how art navigates the nuances between images and text. Tue 16 Apr 6-8pm.
