Based on the illustrated children’s book The Dream of the Thylacine, Erth Visual & Physical Inc’s latest family show brings to life the lost memories of the world’s last Tasmanian tiger. From the creators of Dinosaur Petting Zoo, life-like puppets are used to tell what might have been the Thylacine’s last dream, roaming the wilderness. Incorporating myth with factual research undertaken in Tasmania, Erth have created an inspiring new work combining projected images, live footage and puppetry. This production will uncover museum collections, revitalising community debate on the Thylacine through public discussions with artists, specialists and story-tellers. Presented by Carriageworks and Erth.
