See Toby Martin, front man of Sydney band Youth Group, launch ‘Songs From Northam Avenue’ along with musical collaborators. Inspired by the people of Bankstown, the album emerged from a songwriting residency commissioned by Urban Theatre Projects. From the front yards of Northam Avenue, to Michael K’s mixed business and coffee shop on Chapel Road South, the collaboration came to tell Western Sydney stories and include traditional Arabic and Vietnamese instrumentation.
