Four choreographers, four world premieres. This is the future of contemporary dance.
Showcasing a rich diversity of choreographic ideas, this year’s incredibly talented group of emerging artists has been announced. The four choreographers for this year’s New Breed season are Amber McCartney, Dean Elliot (Company dancer), Piran Scott (Company dancer) and Siobhan McKenna.
Celebrate the best emerging Australian choreography at the eleventh edition of New Breed in 2024, presented by Sydney Dance Company in collaboration with Carriageworks and generously supported by The Balnaves Foundation.

Join Amber McKenna, Siobhan McCarthy, Piran Scott and Dean Elliott for a conversation exploring their unique practices and the evolution of contemporary dance. Facilitated by Rehearsal Director, Richard Cilli.
This production includes loud music with extreme shifts in volume and pitch, sudden loud noises, theatrical haze, strobe and strobe like lighting effects.
