SITI RUBIYAH: KATRINA IRAWATI GRAHAM
CARRIAGEWORKS AND CONTEMPORARY ASIAN AUSTRALIAN PERFORMANCE PRESENT
KATRINA IRAWATI GRAHAM
In 1975 Mochtar Lubis wrote Harimau Harimau (Tiger! Tiger!), in which he abandons a vulnerable young character, Siti Rubiyah, to a horrifying fate alone in the middle of the jungle in Sumatra. This new work by Katrina Irawati Graham travels back to the jungle to imagine what might have happened next.
SITI RUBIYAH WAS DEVELOPED THROUGH THE LOTUS PLAYWRITING PROJECT, AN INITIATIVE OF CAAP AND PLAYWRITING AUSTRALIA SUPPORTED BY THE GIRGENSOHN FOUNDATION
