Seven Aboriginal Women.  On Country.  Their attempts to connect with land and each other; thwarted by arguments about identity, beauty, boyfriends and a cyber invasion by race hate bloggers. Guided by their Auntie/Sister/Cousin Neecy, the women eventually discover that this isn’t any old camping trip and that their connection to country and each other runs deeper than they could ever have imagined.

Inspired by Hyllus Maris and Sonia Borg’s iconic Women of the Sun, Andrea James’ Winyanboga Yurringa is to Black Women, what Caryl Churchill’s Top Girls was for White Women – without the dining table. Presented by Carriageworks.
