While access to innovative treatments has given Emily three unexpected years of life, the cancer has metastasised to her brain, with doctors not knowing how long she has left. Emily believes she is the longest known survivor of anyone who has undertaken her specific treatment.
The Australian Cancer Research Foundation funds research into all types of cancer by providing privately funded grants of between $1 million and $10 million for technology, equipment, and infrastructure. Over 40 years, ACRF has awarded over $184 million to 44 research institutes for the development of ground-breaking advancements in cancer research and treatments.
