NGAIIRE: PAIA
PAIA is Ngaiire’s most visceral and transcendent work yet—an eruption of rage, sex, ecstasy, ceremony, ancestry, and cleansing. Rooted in the Tok Pisin word for “fire,” PAIA is both a reckoning and a prophecy, fusing music, dance, and visuals into a blazing, multi-sensory experience.
Collaborating with multi-award-winning director Dino Dimitriadis, Ngaiire draws from her Papua New Guinean heritage to transform her stage at Vivid Sydney at Carriageworks into a ritual of movement, sound, and storytelling. PAIA is an invitation to surrender to the flames—an experience that will haunt, heal, and ignite.
