KATTHY CAVALIERE FELLOWSHIP | APPLICATIONS OPEN NOW

Suspended Moment: The Katthy Cavaliere Fellowship is a suite of fellowships comprising three grants of $100,000 supporting three female-identifying artists working at the nexus of performance and installation. Named after the Italian born Australian artist Katthy Cavaliere (1972-2012), the fellowship is made possible with funds from the Estate of Katthy Cavaliere in partnership with Carriageworks, the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) and the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona). In 2020 Suspended Moment will be a cross-institutional presentation. The successful applicants will be announced in February 2019.

SELECTION CRITERIA & HOW TO APPLY

Applicants must be an Australian citizen/resident, a female identifying artist, working across visual media including performance and installation and can be at any stage of practice from early career to established.

Applicants must submit a one-page proposal outlining a dream project, which includes the form the work is likely to take, an explanation of the subject, themes and ideas, as well as details of artistic and technical collaborators. A draft schedule for completion of a work within a twelve month time frame must also be included, along with a one-page budget, a one-page curriculum vitae outlining exhibition history and up to three examples of previous work.

The artists will be chosen by a selection panel, comprised of the presenting institutions’ leadership and curatorial teams.
