In February 2008, the independent Commission Against Corruption began investigating allegations of corruption involving local developers and former staff of Wollongong Council. Exposing sexual obsessions, envelopes full of cash, and a secret cabal of powerful men that met regularly around a plastic table outside a local kebab shop, the resultant scandal culminated with the sacking of the entire Council. Version 1.0 turns its forensic theatrical vision onto this scandal to produce a hilarious and compelling interrogation of power, corruption and good governance in contemporary Australia. Presented by Carriageworks in association with Version 1.0 and Merrigong Theatre Company.
