Sydney Chamber Opera is joined by Sydney Theatre Company resident director Sarah Giles to present a double bill of contemporary masterpieces. Renowned playwright Martin Crimp warps the Pied Piper legend into a dark political tragedy, as George Benjamin’s dangerously beautiful score for Into the Little Hill lures the audience into a maze of sound and story. György Kurtág’s musical meditation on a series of absurdist poems by Samuel Beckett, transforms a single virtuosic performer into a whirlwind of melodic energy. Presented by Carriageworks and Sydney Festival.
