The Ondioline is a little-known precursor to the modern synthesiser, and its greatest practitioner was visionary Jean-Jacques Perrey. His recordings are cited as inspiration by multi-instrumentalist Gotye, who celebrates Perrey’s life, intimately showcasing the work of his “spiritual grandfather”.
