Lyrical, intimate and dangerous, this breathtaking performance combines choreography, contortion and aerial acrobatics on, and around, a working 2.5 tonne forklift. It’s the graveyard shift in an industrial wasteland and three women find themselves willing to risk everything in their interplay with each other and a moving machine.

Directed by Kate Denborough this world premiere matches the lightness of limbs with hard edges and heavy metal. Boasting KAGE’s trademark vigorous physicality, atmospherics and sense of play, Forklift is a display of the equipment of the human body at its most impressive. Presented by Carriageworks and Sydney Festival.
