FIGHT THE LANDLORD

CARRIAGEWORKS, PAN PAN THEATRE IRELAND AND BEIJING SQUARE MOON CULTURE PRESENT

FIGHT THE LANDLORD

DO DI ZHU

Set around a card table, amongst a forest of plastic trees, three girls dressed as pandas start a game of Fight the Landlord.  Over the card table they talk celebrity gossip, property prices, divorce rates, living off their parents, babies,  love affairs, pay rises, luxury goods and 3D films.

In this international collaboration between Ireland’s Pan Pan Theatre and Beijing’s Square Moon Culture emerges a new generation of contemporary theatre that examines life in China in a time of constant change.

‘Fight the Landlord finds a present day voice for individual conscience.’ The New York Times

Duration 60 minutes (no interval). Please note there is a lock out at this performance and no latecomers will be admitted.
Performed in Mandarin with English surtitles
