CARRIAGEWORKS, ADELAIDE FESTIVAL, ARTS HOUSE, BRISBANE FESTIVAL, DARWIN FESTIVAL, STEALTH AGENCY AND THE BLACK LUNG THEATRE PRESENT
YOU, DEAD MAN, I DON’T BELIEVE YOU
From the complex histories of Australia and Timor-Leste emerges a story of a man who can be killed, but will not die. Created over two months in an abandoned colonial hotel on a remote island off the coast of Dili, this bold new work explores morality, fragility and chaos.
Doku Rai presents an East Timorese immortal caught between the weight of the past and an unknown future. Critically acclaimed Black Lung Theatre and Whaling Firm team up with rock gods Galaxy and Liurai Fo’er to create a new theatrical language that is part rock concert and part black mass.
