Celebrating Women in the Arts
International Women’s Day is a global day for celebrating the achievements of women past, present and future. As part of Art Month Sydney 2013, we profile the highlights of six diverse careers, celebrating the inspiring success stories from some of the many local women who have made a significant mark on the arts in Sydney and Australia. The discussion will be followed by drinks at the Carriageworks bar. All welcome.

An exclusive tour of two significant exhibitions by one China’s leading artists – Song Dong. Join Aaron Seeto, Director of 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art and Beatrice Gralton, Carriageworks’ Curator, for a behind the scenes tour of Waste Not and Dad and Mum, Don’t Worry About Us, We are All Well. The tour will begin at Carriageworks and continue to 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. Ticket price includes transport between venues and a Chinese banquet in one of Chinatown’s best restaurants.
