ARIANNA HUFFINGTON IN CONVERSATION WITH ANNABEL CRABB

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE AND AUSTRALIAN BLOGGERS’ FESTIVAL IN ASSOCIATION WITH CARRIAGEWORKS PRESENT

ARIANNA HUFFINGTON IN CONVERSATION WITH ANNABEL CRABB

Co-founder and editor in chief of the Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington will join Annabel Crabb in conversation at Carriageworks to discuss her new book Thrive, as part of Sydney Opera House’s Ideas at The House program.

Arianna Huffington is one of the world’s leading businesswomen and a powerful force in the international media landscape. Born in Greece, Huffington moved to the US by way of Cambridge University in England, becoming a renowned broadcaster and nationally-syndicated columnist. In May of 2005, she launched the Huffington Post, which quickly became one of the most widely-read and cited online media brands. The year after it launched, Arianna Huffington was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People – the first of many such accolades she would receive over the next decade – and in 2012, the Huffington Post became the first online-only outlet to receive a Pulitzer Prize for reporting. Arianna Huffington is currently the chair, president, and editor-in-chief the Huffington Post Media Group.

Arianna Huffington and Annabel Crabb will discuss her rise to becoming one of the most prominent and influential women in the world — and how success has affected her life in both positive and negative ways, and ultimately led her to embark on a passionate and personal mission to redefine its meaning. One of the results is her new book, Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom and Wonder. Arianna Huffington will share her journey of making room in her life for rest, mindfulness, health and happiness and will explain her vision of The Third Metric — a way to redefine success beyond money and power in order to live a life of purpose and meaning.
