CARRIAGEWORKS AND INTEL ANNOUNCE GLOBAL COLLABORATION | MEDIA RELEASE 7 Jun 2016

Carriageworks and Intel today announced a new collaboration launching during Vivid Sydney at Carriageworks 2016 for the world premiere of the BJORK DIGITAL exhibition incorporating cutting edge virtual reality technology and digital experiences.

The collaboration between Australia’s leading contemporary multi-arts precinct, Carriageworks, and the global leader in computer innovation will see the two organisations deliver:

– The world premiere of Björk Digital, a new virtual reality project from the celebrated musician, artist and performer, presented collaborations with some of the finest filmmakers and programmers in the world.  Björk Digital will feature the latest Intel technology, bringing Björk’s artistic vision to life and providing a richer experience for visitors. Bjork Digital will feature Virtual Reality work created on Intel technology and will feature work from her first VR album, Vulnicura. One of the pieces, Not Get, will be running on Intel Core i7 based systems to deliver immersive and responsive experiences for up to, an unprecedented, 25 users at a time.

– Future projects – A series of showcases, highlighting new technologies that will create new experiences demonstrating Intel’s continual investment in ground-breaking work developed by local and global artists. Carriageworks is renowned for its innovative curatorial framework that spans fashion, creative industries and contemporary art.
