Sydney, Australia: The Carriageworks Christmas Market returns for the second year bringing together more than 160 leading restaurants, providores, designers, homewares and lifestyle brands for one evening on Friday 23 December from 4pm until 9pm. The Christmas Market offers Sydneysiders the opportunity to buy everything you need for Christmas including fresh seasonal produce and gifts, ranging from fresh turkey, hams and seafood, to fresh fruit, cheeses and plum puddings, from some of the best producers in New South Wales.

Christmas Market visitors will be able to purchase fresh produce from their favourite regular stallholders from the weekly Carriageworks Farmers Markets including Christmas hams from Melanda Park Pasture Raised Pork and Linga Longa Farm, turkeys from Burrawong Gaian and Thirlmere Poultry Supply, seasonal fruits including cherries, nectarines and peaches from Drive in Orchards and Wanaka Orchards, fresh seafood from Wandillyan Seafood and oysters from The Shuck Truck, sparkling wine for Christmas day from Freeman Vineyards and Christmas specials such as Christmas puddings from Pudding Lane and gluten free mince tarts and gingerbread from Kitchen Green.

The 2016 Carriageworks Christmas Market follows on from the success of the inaugural Christmas Market in 2015 that attracted more than 8,000 visitors. It builds upon the much-loved weekly Carriageworks Farmers Market, recognised as one of Australia’s leading Artisan farmers markets, that welcomes more than 5,000 people every Saturday and supports over 120 local producers from throughout New South Wales.

As well as produce there will be over 75 stalls for any last minute gifts, including Newcastle favourites High Swan Dive and Clay Canoe. For something to wear on Christmas Day, Double Rainbouu, The Rocks Push and Bandsome have you covered, while local heroes Romance Was Born, Benah, Studio Elke, Published Art, Better Read Than Dead, Beautiful Pages, Aneau, The DEA Store, Supply Paper Co will be stocked with inspiring gift ideas. Nail Polish Addicts Anonymous can customise your nails and Rolling Records will be playing tunes and selling a first rate collection.

Once the shopping is done, visitors can grab a bite to eat from Carriageworks Farmers Market weekly stallholders such as Billy Kwong, Bar Pho and Moobi Valley Farm as well as Happy as Larry, and drinks from wineries Eloquesta Wines, Slow Wine Co. and Vale Creek Wines, Archie Rose Distilling Co. and Young Henrys Brewing Co. The market is licensed to take away so visitors can also stock up with their favourite drops for Christmas lunch.
