Getting here

Carriageworks is easily accessible by train. Walk eight minutes from Redfern Station, ten minutes from Macdonaldtown Station or 15 minutes from Newtown Station.

Bus routes 422, 423, 426, 428, 370, 352 stop on City Road at Codrington Street, a five minute walk from Carriageworks.

There are bike lanes on nearby streets and bike racks on Wilson Street at the the top of the stairs, near the main entrance.

Limited on-site parking is available at the end of Carriageworks Way. Enter via 229 Wilson Street. We encourage taking public transport when possible.

The loading dock roller door is located at the far side of the Carriageworks car park. Press the buzzer when you arrive.

Food and drink

Cohab Coffee are open from 10am – 2pm, Wed – Fri.

The Carriageworks Farmers Market is open from 8am – 1pm every Sat.

Tickets for all events at Carriageworks can be purchased through the Carriageworks website. They can also be purchased over the phone and onsite at the box office during opening hours Wed-Sun 10am-5pm.  See What’s On to find upcoming events.

The box office will open 30-minutes before each performance for patron assistance, no sales.

Site access
An access ramp leading to the main entrance is located at street level at 245 Wilson Street. 

Venues within the Carriageworks precinct are all level access. If you are attending for a theatre show, raked seating may be in place. To arrange accessible seating, contact us +61 2 8571 9100 Wed-Sun, 10am-5pm or email boxoffice@carriageworks.com.au 

Accessible parking is available at the end of Carriageworks Way. Enter via 229 Wilson Street. 

Taxis and rideshare services can enter at 229 Wilson Street for level access entry. 

The closest train station with wheelchair access across all platforms is Redfern Station which recently underwent upgrades to improve accessibility. Read more here.

Accessible seating
To book accessible seating for theatre shows, please get in touch. Up to two accompanying patrons can buy tickets in the accessible area.

Companion cards
People who hold a valid Companion Card will be issued a complimentary ticket when they support a ticketholder with a disability or frailty. To reserve tickets please call Carriageworks on +61 2 8571 9100 Wed-Sun 10am-5pm or email boxoffice@carriageworks.com.au. You may be asked to present your Companion Card at the event. Please note: other presenting companies may not always accept companion cards.

Facilities and services
The Carriageworks car park includes three mobility parking spaces.

Public accessible toilets are located within the main building.

Service animals are welcome throughout the precinct.

Seating is available throughout the Carriageworks Public Space.

Carriageworks does not have a hearing loop.
